Silk Reeling Classes
Ages 18+

Tai Chi silk reeling is a basic foundation to Tai Chi that mimics the motion of pulling silk from a silkworm. The silk reeling movements are continuous, cyclic patterns performed at a constant, slow speed with the "light touch" of drawing silk. The arms form circles while shifting the weight from leg to leg, and this motion in turn drives the rest of the joints of the body in a fluid, spiraling motion. Experience the pleasure of Silk Reeling, the world famous exercise acclaimed for strengthening your core while helping to gain balance, peace and better health. Close the class with the Exercise for Bringing In the Colors to help push out impurities and bring in healing and uplifting energies.
