Chi has been practiced in China for thousands of years. It is performed in slow
motion, based on a continuous flowing movement coordinated with deep breathing.
While T'ai Chi resembles an effortless dance, every movement is precise and is
performed with a great deal of internal strength. The aim of T'ai Chi is to quiet
the chatter of the mind and become attuned to the river of positive energy flowing
through our bodies. We develop inner hearing, gain intuition and understanding,
restore and maintain good health. We become balanced, graceful, and strong.
